Call Recorder privacy
What this app collects, why it collects it, and what you can ask us to delete.
This policy describes Call Recorder version 2.0 and later, including the app identified on this website as Ios Call Record 3. The app's publisher is responsible for the information described here. Use our support form for privacy questions, including questions about an earlier version.
Request account or data deletion
You can request deletion without installing the app. Open the support form, enter “Delete my Call Recorder account” as the subject, and identify the phone number connected to your account in the message. Tell us whether you also want recordings held by the call-recording service deleted. Do not send a password, verification code, payment-card details or recording audio. We may need to verify ownership before acting on a request.
In the app, Settings → Your account → Delete account asks you to verify your number again. It closes your app account and queues deletion of its sign-in identity. Locally saved recordings are managed separately in your library. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it in the store's subscription settings if you no longer want renewal.
We retain limited security, usage and purchase-ownership records needed to prevent repeated allowance claims, preserve purchase rights and meet applicable obligations. Account deletion removes submitted content reports and active account access. Call-service recordings require the separate request above.
Recordings and your library
Voice notes, imported audio, saved call recordings, names, folders, favorites, notes, bookmarks and editable AI results are stored in the app's storage on your device. The app does not automatically upload your local library for AI processing or create its own cloud backup of it.
Deleting a library entry removes its app-owned copy and associated local information. Original files you imported or migrated from an earlier installation can remain in their original location; remove those separately if you no longer need them. Exporting or sharing sends the selected material to the app or recipient you choose. Copies held by that recipient are outside the library's deletion controls. Your device or cloud-backup settings can separately affect app data.
Call recording and phone connection
Service-assisted call recording uses a service number and your carrier's conference-call feature. The recording service processes the call audio, participating numbers, timing and recording links. Those recordings can remain on the service after you save or delete a local copy. Obtain the agreement of everyone involved before recording; availability and carrier charges vary.
Connecting a phone number uses Google Firebase Authentication to verify it and recover access to calls. Our server uses the verified account identity to request the correct recording catalog. Firebase and our infrastructure also process device, installation, network and integrity information to operate sign-in and protect the service. App Check, App Attest and Play Integrity help reject unauthorized requests.
Optional AI notes
AI analysis begins only after you choose a recording and agree to send it. The selected audio and its duration go through our server to OpenRouter and a Google Gemini processing endpoint. They are used to create a transcript, summary and action items. Do not submit material you do not have permission to share.
Our request configuration requires providers that declare no training on the submitted content and zero retention for the AI request. If compatible processing is unavailable, analysis fails rather than relaxing those requirements. These restrictions concern the AI request; they do not delete the recording service's original call or the results you save on your device. OpenRouter and provider privacy terms describe their handling of operational and account information.
Our analysis service uses temporary audio files to validate an upload and removes them after that step. It does not keep an audio or transcript archive. We retain operation status, duration and allowance usage to enforce limits and resolve interrupted requests. AI text can be incorrect; review it against the recording.
Purchases and access
Apple or Google processes store payments. We receive product, transaction and subscription-status information needed to verify access, restore purchases and apply usage limits. Our server protects stored purchase references and associates verified access with the correct account. We do not receive your payment-card number. A reviewer or support access code provides only its authorized access.
Notifications and permissions
Microphone access is used when you record a voice note. File selection grants access to the audio you choose. Device authentication can protect the local library; the app receives an authentication result, not your fingerprint, face template or device passcode.
If you enable call alerts, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple or Google notification services use a device registration to deliver them. You can change notification permission in device settings. The app updates its registration after account changes. A first-launch check for WhatsApp installation is used for the configured review invitation; it does not read WhatsApp messages or contacts.
Optional diagnostics
Usage analytics and crash reports have separate switches in Settings and start off on new installations of this version. If enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase receives feature events and ordinary technical usage information; Firebase Crashlytics receives diagnostic stacks and device/app information. Our custom events do not include recording audio, titles, transcript text, phone numbers or payment references.
Turning a switch off stops future collection through that setting; it does not by itself erase data already received by the provider. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization remain disabled in this version. The app does not use your recording content to target advertising.
Reports, support and retention
Reporting an AI result sends only the text you select and the explanation you enter, associated with your account. It does not include the audio. Reports are available for review and are deleted when resolved, when the account is deleted, or after 30 days. Reporting does not use your AI allowance.
The support form sends your entered contact details and message to our support service so a person can reply. Include only the information needed for your request. Local content remains until you remove it; account, service and purchase records follow the purposes and deletion exceptions described above.
Service providers and your choices
Apple, Google Firebase, OpenRouter and its selected AI endpoint, the call-recording service, and our hosting/support infrastructure process information for the functions described above. Processing can take place outside your country. We use encrypted network connections, account checks and restricted access, but no device or online service can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information, or object to particular processing. Settings → Your account offers an account-data export. You can also make a request or privacy complaint through the support form. This page will be updated when the app's data practices change.
